The Pain Management Center is dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment and control of patients with chronic, debilitating pain. The center's program includes consult with an anesthesiologist and pain treatment. For a consultation, patients must be referred by a primary care physician. Resources are aimed at patient and family support and education with a holistic approach to care in mind, body and spirit.
Patients in need of support and pain relief can be assisted through the hospital's Palliative Care Program. This multi-disciplinary approach to care is provided by a team that includes physicians, advanced practice nurses, social workers, pain specialists, dietitians and spiritual care staff. Family members can feel secure that their loved one is receiving the most comprehensive support for pain relief and quality of life through their cancer treatment.
